HCRFD responded to a structure fire. Mutual aid was provided by Pottersville FD, Caulfield FD, and West Plains FD. I believe there may have been one or two firefighters from Lanton FD there as well. Fortunately no one was in the house. The firefighters tried to save what they could and worked for quite some time to bring the fire under control.

As owners of this home, we would like to thank the Howell County Rural Fire Department, as well as other area fire departments, for their attempt in trying to save our home from destruction. With this tragedy we have truly experienced a sense of community through the outpouring of support and kindness from so many. We will keep all those who risked thier lives, offered support, and made donations through this trying time forever in our hearts. Losing our home has been a very humbling experience and one that will never be forgotten. Thank you to all who have made this difficult time more bearable. We have once again experienced why it is so wonderful to be a part of this community!
